Dachau is a place of remembrance, reflection, and education, a must visit location during your stay. Spend the whole day with a Dachau memorial licensed guide, who will be passionate about making your experience as factually rich and thought provoking as possible. A thorough tour of the site will be provided but you will also be allocated time to explore the excellent museum exhibit. Questions are welcome, and interaction with your guide encouraged, so as to enhance your experience. Return with your guide to Marienplatz, at which time you will have a short break during which you can get refreshments and something to eat. Your guide will have suggestions for eateries. At 03:00 PM, starting again from Marienplatz, part two of your day commences with a walking tour through beautiful Munich. Locations of relevance to the Nazi party and Adolf Hitler will be exposed, such as the location where Hitler joined the German Workers Party, the location where it was decided to carry out a pogrom against German Jews in November 1938, and where the Munich agreement was signed also in 1938. In addition to the locations pertaining to this specific period, you will see other places of interest such as the oldest parish church in Munich, one of the quaintest beer gardens in the city and the world famous Hofbrauhaus. The tour will finish at Königsplatz where the Nazis used to hold their rallies and the location of the infamous Führerbau and new documentation center of National socialism. At the end of this approximate 8 hour tour you will have the option of being escorted back to Marienplatz by train with your guide or pick up your own itinerary. Your guide will be happy to advise or help you in terms of restaurant suggestions or directions.
