Description
The three-hour city tour starts at Stachus (Karlsplatz), one of Munich's busiest squares. From here, the path leads into the old town to the Bürgersaalkirche, whose baroque interior and its role as a pilgrimage site are impressive. Just a few steps away, the magnificent Asamkirche, a masterpiece of southern German Rococo, immediately captivates visitors with its lavish design. Then the tour leads to the Sendlinger Tor, one of the last preserved medieval city gates in Munich. From there, you'll head to the Jewish Museum at St.Jakobs-Platz, which provides insights into Jewish culture and history in Munich in a modern way. Past the Rindermarktbrunnen, a charming square with a historic atmosphere, the group reaches the lively Viktualienmarkt, where the variety of regional specialties conveys a typical Bavarian lifestyle. Next, you'll head to St. Peter's Church (Alter Peter), the oldest parish church in the city, followed by the Old Town Hall, which opens the way to Marienplatz – Munich's central square overlooking the Glockenspiel, the town hall, and the hustle and bustle of the old town. Just a few steps away is the imposing Frauenkirche, whose onion domes shape the city's famous skyline. Afterwards, the tour leads to the traditional Dallmayr Delikatessenhaus, where Munich's delicatessen history comes alive. Passing by the magnificent Residenz, once the seat of the Bavarian dukes and kings, you'll continue to the Bavarian State Opera, one of the most renowned opera houses in Europe. The path along the elegant Maximilianstraße, Munich's famous luxury and magnificent street, forms the stylish end of the route. The tour finally ends near the Hofbräuhaus, where Bavarian atmosphere, music, and a relaxed stopover offer the perfect end to the tour.Includes
