Your tour departs from Füssen Train Station at 12:15 PM. Your first stop of this eventful day is the Wieskirche (Pilgrimage Church), situated in a picturesque alpine valley near the town of Steingaden. Here you will see one of the best examples of Bavarian Rococo and learn the interesting history of the Wies Church. Next, take a visit to the town of Oberammergau. Famous for its Passion Plays, which take place every 10 years, and its history of woodcarving going back to the Middle Ages. Oberammergau also has a great selection of local restaurants and shops. You will continue on to Linderhof Palace where King Ludwig II lived for many years. It is the only castle of his that was completed. King Ludwig II was inspired by the French and with Linderhof Palace he tried to replicate a much smaller version of Versailles Palace. After your visit to Linderhof Palace, you will drive back to Füssen.Includes
