Munich-Altstadt
The medieval Old Town of Munich (Altstadt), originally is marked by Marienplatz, the central square of the city, the townhall which is the politica base of Munich and the Cathedral with its famous twin towers. among these landmarks you can find a pedestrian shopping mile, which is located between the Karlstor on the west side (near the train station) and the Isartor on the east side of the old town walls. The old part of Munich is only about one square kilometre, but this small area offers many shops, theatres, museums, historical sites, churches and Bavarian restaurants to attract a great number of visitors each day.
