The Munich Readery is the largest English language second hand book shop in Germany and can be found here in Munich. This unique shop combines a real bookstore atmosphere with more than 30 years experience in book-selling.
The Owner, John Browner, opened the shop in 2005 after working as a bookseller in New York City, and owning shops in New Hempshire, and North Carolina for many years. Together with his wife, Lisa, they offer a pleasant gathering place for book lovers of all kinds, including expatriates, travelers, and Germans who like to speak and read English.
The books are meticulously arranged to allow for easy browsing or to quickly find a specific book. All the books are secondhand but many are in mint or near-mint condition.
Books at the Munich Readery are about 30 % to 70 % less expensive than new books here in Germany.
