Spitzingsee

The romantic lake „Spitzingsee" lies a bit higher than Schliersee in a hight of more than 1000 meters.

The picturesque mountain lake has only a size of 1 km² and is surrounded by forested peaks.

Together with its neighbouring lake Schliersee it counts to the cleanest lakes in Bavaria.

Fishers will find trout, whitefish, pike, tench and eels during the fishing season from 1st March until 15th November.

The area is ideal for winter sports, such as skiing and cross country skiing, but also in summer there are many choices for hiking tours and relaxation.

How to get there:

By car:

From Munich A 8 Salzburg/ EXIT Weyarn, Miesbach, Schliersee ,on the A-road follow the signs Miesbach than Schliersee, if you drive further you will see the signs Spitzingsee.

By public transport:

From Munich by train (Bayrische Oberlandbahn (BOB) in direction Schliersee / Fischhausen-Neuhaus, continue your journey by bus: RVO-Bus Line 9562 until Station Spitzingsee
