DAY 1 – FRANKFURT – ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER
Departure from Frankfurt to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the most iconic medieval towns on the Romantic Road. We'll stroll through the Marktplatz, see the Town Hall, St. Jakob Church and the historic streets, with the option of walking along a section of the ancient walls. In the afternoon, we'll visit the Reiterlesmarkt, its traditional Christmas market, with handicrafts, sweets, mulled wine, and Franconian products. As night falls, the illumination of the walls and towers creates one of the most special atmospheres of the trip. Overnight stay in Rothenburg.
DAY 2 – ROTHENBURG – DINKELSBÜHL – NUREMBERG
We'll then head to Dinkelsbühl, a medieval town surrounded by walls, gates, and towers. We'll stroll through Weinmarkt, with its colorful houses, and see St. Georg Church, also taking in its small traditional Christmas market. We'll then continue to Nuremberg, where we'll visit the area around the Imperial Castle, the churches of St. Sebald and St. Lorenz, and the historic center. In the late afternoon, we'll arrive at Hauptmarkt to explore the famous Christkindlesmarkt, with its handicrafts, Lebkuchen, Nuremberg sausages, and Glühwein. Overnight in Nuremberg.
DAY 3 – NUREMBERG – REGENSBURG
After completing the tour of Nuremberg, departure to Regensburg, on the banks of the Danube and home to one of the most impressive medieval centers in Germany. We'll stroll across the Stone Bridge, past St. Peter's Cathedral, and through the narrow streets of the Old Town. During Advent, we'll be able to visit several Christmas markets, including the spectacular Romantic Market at Thurn und Taxis Palace, held in the courtyards of the former princely residence, with handicrafts, bonfires, illuminations, and regional cuisine. Overnight stay in Regensburg.
DAY 4 – REGENSBURG – LANDSHUT – MUNICH
Departure for Landshut, former residence of the dukes of Bavaria. We'll explore the Altstadt, St. Martin's Church, and the grounds of Trausnitz Castle, which offers magnificent views. During Advent, the center is filled with decorations and small markets. We'll then continue on to Munich, where we'll explore Marienplatz, the New Town Hall, the Frauenkirche, and the illuminated streets of the city center. We'll wrap up the trip by enjoying the great Christkindlmarkt and other themed markets in the city. Trip ends in Munich.
