Description
We start our 13 km hike with about 650 meters of elevation gain in a relaxed manner at the Tegernsee train station (a meeting point in Munich can also be requested upon request) and leave everyday life directly behind us. After just the first few meters of elevation gain on the way to Neureuth, it becomes clear why this route is something special: the view opens up far across Lake Tegernsee, and on a clear day, it even extends as far as Munich. A perfect moment to take a deep breath, arrive, and be amazed.
Our trail continues to the cozy Gindelalm. Here, not only a fantastic view of the Wendelstein awaits, but also a small, well-deserved break. If you like, you can try the legendary homemade buttermilk – simple, wholesome and just right after the first stage.
Then it's downhill towards Schliersee. Once at the bottom, we change our perspective: We relax and float up to the Schliersberg Alm by gondola. At the top, one of the most beautiful panoramic views in Bavaria awaits you – wide, open, and impressive. Time for regional delicacies, a cool drink, or just to let the view sink in.
Finally, you have the choice of how your perfect day of hiking ends:
A leisurely ride back down to the valley on the gondola,
in a sporty way on foot,
or with a big grin on your face, down the fast-paced summer toboggan run toward Schliersee train station.

Important Information
- The tour is a guided hiking tour with moderate climbs and requires a good basic level of physical fitness and surefootedness. The route is mainly on forest and hiking trails. The tour takes place in most weather conditions – please make sure you have suitable clothing and sturdy shoes. Refreshments are available at the Gindelalm and the Schliersbergalm. The tour ends at Lake Schliersee, which has good public transportation connections. The return journey to Tegernsee is done independently. Changes to the itinerary are possible due to weather or group conditions. The tour ends at the Schliersbergalm. Option to get to the Schliersee train station on foot, by gondola, or by toboggan run, depending on the weather.
