Why my walking tour is so special… … You'll be visiting the most beautiful Christmas markets with me, Peter. This isn't a typical standard guided tour – because there will be a maximum of 10 people, so it's really fun! What makes it special is the mix of well-known highlights and real hidden gems. I'll show you well-known and lesser-known markets, and I'll show you my Munich. A special stop is our visit to the Isartor Gate. This Christmas market is not a typical tourist market, but rather a place where mainly Munich residents gather. The famous Feuerzangenbowle (mulled wine with flaming sugarloaf), the large fire cauldrons and the cozy, local atmosphere make this stop truly special. Many guests later tell me that they would never have discovered this market on their own. In addition: • You'll get a personalized tour led by me – not an impersonal mass tour • I'll tell you stories, traditions and little secrets about Munich that you won't find in any guidebook • We'll visit four completely different markets that will give you a real feel for Munich's diversity • At each market, I'll treat you to a drink – feel free to try something new! My goal is for you not just to see Munich, but to feel it – the way we Munich locals experience the Advent season. I will welcome you at Odeonsplatz, surrounded by the Theatine Church, the Feldherrnhalle and the Residenz. From here, we'll set off together on an atmospheric evening full of lights, scents, and Munich Christmas magic. 1. Medieval Christmas Market at Wittelsbacherplatz Our first stop is the Medieval Market – a true Munich original. Traders in period costumes, fire pits, crafts and music that seem to be from another era. Let's have a hot mead here, for example! 2. Residenz Christmas Market Next stop is the Residenz. This market is elegant, artfully decorated, and feels like a small Christmas village in the middle of the city. Illuminated walkways, nativity scenes and traditional handicrafts await you. 3. Isartor – The famous punch bowl Then we'll continue on foot to the Isartor Gate. Here, the legendary Feuerzangenbowle (mulled wine with flaming sugarloaf) awaits in large cauldrons – an iconic Munich spot that many tourists would never discover on their own. 4. Tollwood Winter Festival – The Grand Finale To finish, we'll take the subway together to Theresienwiese. Tollwood is not a traditional Christmas market, but an international winter festival with art, music, international cuisine and an alternative atmosphere. This is where we'll wrap up the tour in a relaxed way. After about 3 hours, our walking tour together will also end there – filled with stories, impressions and an authentic Munich Advent atmosphere.
