Description

You're visiting Munich and are not in the mood for noisy, stuffy bars with limited space? Then join me on the roof - we’ll hop between three lovely rooftop terraces, enjoy the view over a drink, and soak up the sunset. We start in the Ludwigvorstadt, a vibrant, multicultural Munich district full of contrasts. Here we climb onto our first roof with views of St. Paul's Church and beyond. If you're lucky, a swing at the bar will be free - that makes it even more fun! Do you see the creative decorative elements? After a colorful drink, we hop on the tram and ride a short distance through Isarvorstadt, Munich’s district for the trendy scene and the creative community. We have to make a bit of an effort to reach our second roof terrace, as there is no elevator. In return, however, we are rewarded with an urban roof garden and a wonderful view. Drinks and Bites, a good mix of people, and very nice chill out areas - even on 2 floors - are you ready to explore the jungle? Next, we continue by public transport through Haidhausen, a historic and universally popular Munich neighborhood. We reach the Werksviertel, a former industrial and entertainment area that is now an urban mix of living, working, culture, art, and leisure. The highest rooftop terrace of the tour awaits our visit here - and thank goodness there’s an elevator! A magnificent view - stretching as far as the mountains on a clear day; you can even make out the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak. Are you ready for the sunset? I hope your phone still has enough battery! This is were we end the tour, you can stay or leave and find your way back via Munich East trainstation.
