Description
The walking tour starts at the Prinzregententheater, one of the most elegant cultural venues in Munich. From here, Peter leads you down towards the Isar, past the Villa Stuck, and directly to the Peace Angel, one of the city's most famous monuments. Continue on to the Maximilianeum, the magnificent seat of the Bavarian Parliament, before strolling through the green Maximiliansanlagen along the Isar.
The Kabelsteg footbridge offers a view of the Isar streams and the Deutsches Museum, one of the most important technology museums in the world. On the other side, you will immerse yourself in the Isarpark – a piece of nature in the middle of the city. Passing the Muffatwerk, today one of the most exciting cultural centers in Munich, the path continues southward to the ending point, the tranquil rose garden. Entry to the rose garden is free, and you can then wander there on your own, depending on the season (particularly worth seeing from late May to early August). If you have a picnic blanket with you, you can continue relaxing right there or by the Isar...

- The walk covers about 2.5–3 kilometers on flat, well-paved paths along the Isar. With stops for stories, photos, and views, the route takes around 1.5 to 2 hours and is well suited for all fitness levels. Please wear clothing that is appropriate for the tour and the weather.
