Description
The tour begins in central Munich on high-quality e-bikes, quickly leaving the city center past Gärtnerplatz with views of the Deutsches Museum. Following the renowned Isar bike path, the ride passes Grünwalder Stadium, home of TSV 1860 München, and shortly after, the FC Bayern training grounds on Säbener Straße.
You then cycle into nature through the Perlacher Forst, passing Nussbaum Ranch and Kugler Alm, where you can buy a fresh “Auszogne” pastry. The route continues to the Alpine foothills at Deininger Weiher, where there is a break for coffee or refreshments, and swimming is optional.
After the break, the tour proceeds through the Isar Valley along a fish farm and the Isar rafting canal. Depending on crowd levels, there may be a stop at a traditional tavern before ascending the steepest climb. The route leads via Grünwald to the Georgenstein, then crosses the Großhesseloher Bridge, offering views of the Isar and, on clear days, the Olympic Tower. The tour concludes with a relaxed return to Munich city center via the Floßlände.
