Description
At SEA LIFE Munich, your journey begins at the river Isar and travels through habitats such as the Danube Delta, coral caves, seahorse bay, Mediterranean port, and the Atlantic Ocean. Walk through an eight-meter-long ocean tunnel to observe shimmering sea creatures from close quarters.
The aquarium features over 20 shark species including pyjama cat sharks, zebra sharks, and Japanese carpet sharks in a large ocean basin, the most shark species found in any German aquarium. Visitors can spot ‘Pünktchen’, the zebra shark, the largest inhabitant of the tropical ocean basin.
Besides sharks, you can admire small creatures like minnows and doctor fish alongside impressive sea turtles. Daily feeding sessions add energy and provide educational commentary on the diets and behaviors of rays, sharks, and other species.
