Hofbraeuhaus

The Hofbraeuhaus counts to the most famous breweries of the world and is therefore one of the top attractions when visiting Munich.

It is one of the oldest bavarian breweries and offers a restaurant, a festival hall and a unique beergarden right in the city center.

The historic beer hall on the first floor which is named 'Die Schwemme' is considered to be the heart of the Hofbraeuhaus. The premises used to be the place where the beer was once brewed. Underneath the cross vaults, there is availability for up to 1.300 seats. Some of the tables have been here since 1897 as testified by the many initials, names and comments engraved on them.

In the center of the public beer hall is a music podium where the original Hofbraeuhaus brass band plays traditional Bavarian music every day. On weekends, visiting bands provide lively entertainment for the guests.

Come in and enjoy the special atmosphere that can be felt in every corner. At the reserved regulars’ tables, guests from all around the world can experience the Bavarian way of life first hand, with its heart and hospitality.

The completely renovated Braeustueberl is located on the first floor of the Hofbraeuhaus. Featuring a blend of stylish Bavarian ambiance, it offers cultured hospitality in the genuine Munich tradition of Munich beer-drinking establishments. Designed to seat 600 people, the Festival Hall offers an impressive backdrop for the traditional Bavarian dance and folklore evening held daily. Guests are enchanted by a musical entertainment program comprised of dancers, Bavarian “Schuhplattler” dancers, whip performers and an many more. On Tuesday afternoon, our senior regulars meet in the Festival Hall for a senior afternoon dance. Concerts and musical events also take place regularly.
