Echinger See is situated north of Munich and was created in the 1960 by gravel excavation. Now a quarry pond, the lake attracts guests because of its high water quality and an about 7 ha of sunbathing area around the lake.
People can access the lake from almost every spot around the shore. Only a small part on the southern shore is a protected area.
The lake is perfect for families, as sandboxes and a children friendly beach can be found here, as well as facilities for beach volleyball and table tennis.
A small shop with a little beergarden invites to have a refreshing drink on a hot summer day at the lake.
