In the eastern outskirts of Munich you will find Heimstetterner See a very popular querry pond, with a size of about 11 ha and a depth of 10 meters.
Unfortunately the water quality is not as good as in many other lakes in and around Munich. but you can still go for a swim at Heimstettener See.
A small shop on the southern shore of the lake offers drinks and snacks for visitors. On the northern side of the lake there is a beergarden. Surrounded by some nice and huge trees, the lake offers many shady spots for hot summer days.
