Munich: Street Art Bike Tour
66 ReviewsDiscover the lively street art scene in Munich on a guided bike tour. Experience an alternative side of the city, that was a pioneer of the graffiti movement in Germany in the 1980s.
The Eisbach is a man-made artificial stream running through the English Garden. Being a tributary of the Isar river, the small Eisbach is very popular among Munich´s resident as a recreation area for hot summer days.
Officially swimming is not permitted, but the rule is not enforced, and swimmers can be seen everywhere during the summer months.
Just behind a small brige close to the Haus der Kunst , a standing wave appears and has been surfed by river surfers since 1972. Until today the Eisbach wave has been one of the top attractions you should not miss to visit, when coming to Munich.
Apart from watching the surfers doing their sport, the Eisbach also invites you to spend a relaxing day, sunbathing along the stream that is winding through the English Garden. On sunny days you will be suprised by the crowds of people that come to the Eisbach to enjoy the sun.
