Riem
Riem is located in the eastern part of Munich and used to be the area, where the old Munich Airport had been until 1992. Within the last years, Riem has developed into a famous exhibition place, as the Trade Fair is located here. Also, the district grew into a new residential area. The Riemer Park, which was built for a famous horticultural garden exhibition in 2005, offers a lot of recreation for its residents. Also the Shopping Centre "Riem Arkaden" is located here and offers a variety of boutiques, shops, food places and supermarkets.
